Overview

Axi Recruitment is proud to be supporting a valued client in Hull to recruit for a Level 3 NEBOSH qualified Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join their business. This role will directly report into the Head of Safety, Environment and Compliance.

Job Details

• Advise on health, safety, environment, and compliance matters.
• Conduct site audits and visits as needed.
• Operate and develop ISO management systems.
• Conduct fire risk assessments in accordance with legislation, as necessary.
• Promote a strong Health and Safety culture, ensuring company standards are met.
• Perform return-to-work, pregnancy, and modified duties risk assessments.
• Provide cover during team absences.
• Support HSEQ training, including in-house delivery.
• Deliver business improvement plans.
• Head up meetings as required.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Level 3 certificate in either Occupational Safety/Construction/Fire or equivalent.
• Hold or be willing to work towards the Fire Management Certificate.

Experience

• Previous experience in a Health & Safety focused role.
• Knowledge/experience of HSEQ management systems and ISO standards.
• Demonstrative knowledge of environmental management requirements.
• Working knowledge, and experience of the application of CDM Regulations.
• Experience in conducting audits for construction sites and management systems.
• Produce high quality written reports for the board, investigations, etc.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence, and own transport.
