Overview

Axi Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company for a Management Accountant. The role is to take ownership of generating accurate, timely management information that drives effective decision-making across the business. Acting as a key member of the finance team, the Management Accountant will lead on month?end close, uphold financial controls, and deliver insightful performance analysis to ensure all financial information is complete and reliable.

Job Details

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts with supporting schedules and reconciliations.
• Complete month-end close on time, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are correct.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Produce variance analysis with clear commentary on key movements.
• Provide financial insight to operational and non-finance teams to support decision-making.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audits through schedule preparation and query responses.
• Assist in improving finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

• Part or Full Qualified - essential

Experience

• Previous construction industry experience - desirable
• First Aid / Fire Marshall Trained - desirable
