Overview

Axi Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company for a Management Accountant. The role is to take ownership of generating accurate, timely management information that drives effective decision-making across the business. Acting as a key member of the finance team, the Management Accountant will lead on month?end close, uphold financial controls, and deliver insightful performance analysis to ensure all financial information is complete and reliable.

Job Details

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts with clear P&L, balance sheet analysis, and reconciliations
• Lead the month?end close process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are completed on time
• Maintain and resolve balance sheet reconciliations to ensure strong financial integrity
• Produce variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods, with clear commentary
• Provide financial insight and support to operational and non?finance teams
• Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure consistent, accurate financial reporting
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and responses
• Contribute to improving finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency

Qualifications

• Part or Full Qualified - essential

Experience

• Previous construction industry experience - desirable
• First Aid / Fire Marshall Trained - desirable
