Job Title: Electrical/Controls Engineer –Industrial Heat Pumps & Solar PV Installations

Location: Hull

Salary: £50,000- £55,000 (plus bonus structure)

Reporting to: Head of Engineering

Job Details

Job Summary:

We are recruiting for a dynamic Electrical/Controls Engineer on behalf of our client. This would primarily focusing on commercial/industrial heat pumps and large solar PV installations. This role is ideal for someone aiming to grow into a well-rounded electrical engineer and make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Phase:

  • Lead on all electrical aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with electrical design requirements and Distribution Network Operator (DNO) standards.
  • Develop control philosophies and strategies for efficient energy management.

Construction Phase:

  • Oversee the electrical installation process, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to resolve any electrical issues.

Commissioning Phase:

  • Lead the commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring optimal operation.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of electrical and control systems

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, both Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV).
  • Proficient in control system philosophies and applications.
  • Experience in renewable energy projects, particularly heat pumps and solar PV installations, is preferred.
